We have Michael!!

We flew to Taiyuan, Shanxi today. It was about a 1 hour flight from Beijing. Our guide Jerome took our group to get our kids at 2:30. We arrived at the local social welfare institute around 3:00. When the elevator door opened, there was Michael, his nannies, the orphanage director, and another little girl from his orphanage. By the end of our time there, we had Michael smiling. He likes to play with Baba's beard. (That is my favorite picture so far.) They gave us a lot of pictures in an album and answered all of our questions about him. He must have healthy bones. He drinks milk 5 times a day!

We returned to the hotel. After being here for about 20 minutes, I think it really hit Michael that he was staying here with us. He started crying. He cried for about an hour until he fell asleep. I am going to post a few pictures from today while Bill is laying on the bed with Michael.

You make a fine looking family. We are very happy for you. We received Joanna Mei today at about 4:30. Be has her giggling, but she cries when Don tries to touch her - he's got some work to do. Hopefully, she'll get a good night's sleep after such a hard day.
Congratulations! Michael is a beautiful guy.

What a handsome little boy. He looks very healthy. Don't worry about the crying. It will stop, take it from me. Talicee did that at first. You guys look like you were made for each other. We are so happy for your family. Now life really does begin and never stops. You will love it.

I've been hitting "refresh" all day waiting to see that you have Michael and see the pictures!
He's so cute!
This will be the hard part, I would think, with all the crying, but you're going to keep winning him over bit by bit.
Congrats Mommy!
